Description

The title is in portuguese as you can see, because this photo was one, among others, that I submited in a contest in my hometown, named Espinho, that we were supossed to present photos of thing that captured our eyes. I will only know if I won something at the end of this week, but I just participated for the fun...

Well this bridge is really a symbol of Espinho for me...

All Critics and Comments are welcome...

Oh!... by the way I didn't posted a work for quite a while, well for some months, but I intend to come back with all I've got...

Photo taken with SONY P-10

I really like the composition of this photo. All of the elements work well together and create some beautiful lines. What detracts from this photo is the over-exposed sky as Johannes has said. The best way to prevent or at least reduce this over-exposure would be to use AE lock on an area which is not the darkest or lightest area of the photo but an area in-between. Also, exposure bracketing would give you alternative shots ... all at varying exposures. Overall a good photo with some technical issues.

Excellent perspective and composition!!.....very difficult under the light conditions.....in order to get details under the bridge there was not choice but to overexpose the sky....another time of the day ....maybe early morning late afternoon will throw more light under the bridge....but I really enjoy the composition of the forms...well done Hugo!

I agree about the sky being a bit too bright, but the composition is very interesting. I love the angle and I feel black & white was a good choice for this type of photo. Perhaps a bit more contrast would be nice as well.

Good work! Keep it up. :)

this photo have very impressive feeling. i like the strange fog or in the middle of the shot. maybe try something with levels or curves in PS to improove shadows, this one looks too much in grey for me. but maybe it is your intention ;) good work
